Known as Zee Justin, Justin Bonomo, or Bonomo, is an American professional poker player who competed in Magic the Gathering. Justin placed fourth in the inaugural year of the EPT, at 19 years old, in 2005, when he was the youngest player to appear on a televised final table.
Bonomo currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, has three Bracelets to his name, and has a net worth of approximately $43 million. Justin’s total live earnings are currently ranked number one on the All Time Money List.
Gambling Career of Justin
Bonomo became the first teenager to appear at a poker event live in 2005, and this was during the European Poker French Open. During the 2008 Team Championship Poker Tournament, he won his first $18000 prize and played in the No Limit Texas Hold ’em Dream Team Championship.
Bonomo had 55 cashes at the World Series of Poker, made 19 final tables, and won three bracelets and one circuit ring. In 2014, he won his first bracelet in No-Limit Hold ’em Six-Handed and earned $449,980. On Twitter, he said, “Always a bridesmaid, never a bride.” He placed second in previous events.
After playing in Event #16 of the $10000 Heads Up No Limit Championship in 2018, Bonomo won a tidy sum of $185 965. After that, he won Event #78, the $1000 000 One Drop for $10 000 000. He surpassed Daniel Negreanu as the top love tournament champion during this event until Brynn Kenney surpassed him in 2019.
Final Thoughts
Before becoming a Poker champion, Bonomo had previously been caught entering online poker tournaments using multiple accounts at Pokerstars in 2006. Thousands of dollars in winnings were lost when he was banned from two sites. At the end of August 2019, Justin Bonomo’s live gaming earnings were $48 508 778, making him the second-highest earner in live tournaments behind Brynn Kenney.
